Using maternity clothes for adult female

To follow this tutorial you will need

• A .package file of a maternity outfit
• At least an hack of the ones listed in the different methods

Method 1 - for maternity wear from all sites -

Using Squinge’s hack Pregnant Sims Wear Any Outfit, downloadable HERE

Make sure you download only the version that is compatible with your EPs and hacks.

This hack allows pregnant sims to wear normal clothes. This may cause game crashes, so make sure your sims wear only clothes you downloaded as maternity wear.

 

Make a sim go to a community lot, make her buy the outfits (you may find them in casual, pjs or formal either, depending on who made them), have her wear one of them and when she’s pregnant click on the wardrobe and select the option to make her wear casual clothes (or pjs or formal, whatever category they were). If the outfit you’ve set wasn’t meant to be a maternity outfit the tummy won’t show. To avoid game crushes when the stage of pregnancy changes, or at the birth of the baby, change her clothes until you see the tummy’s back (as to say, make her wear the default maternity outfit).

Method 2 - using the InSIMenator -

Using the InSIMenator our clothes can work as real maternità outfit. Just download the InSIMenator, from version SIM 2.5 up, here

When you’re in the lot of your pregnant sim click on the ground, then Spawn…/Wardrobe Adjustor…/Buy New Outfit…/Maternity.

You can buy clothes choosing from the ones you have that were meant to be maternity (not everyone modify them with SimPe, but we do).

 

After you’ve bought them select Plan Outfit…/Maternity.

 

Finally, select Change to Maternity.

 

It’s not sure you’ll see outfits created by other sites with this method, since I cannot know how they create them. If they don’t set them as maternity this method won’t work. You could still use method 1 and 2 combined, though.

Method 3 - buying clothes on community lots -

Everywhere if you have a Insimenator version up to 2.6 you don't need Universal dresser, you can just use Spawn-->Wardrobe Adjustor

With these hacks you can go to community lots and buy maternity outfits. If the sim is pregnant you will need the third hack to make her go.

Once you’ve bought them you’ll see that sims can’t wear them through the normal wardrobe, since they don’t have that option. You have to use the universal dresser, first making her select the clothes she’ll wear and then selecting the option to make her change into those.

Even this method may not work with other sites’s clothes, like method 2. Still, you can always combine it with method 1.
